# Swiftin

> AI-powered browser translation extension for all Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi) and Firefox. Four core features — Page Translation (auto-translate any webpage in bilingual or translation-only mode), Input Translation (type in any language and translate before sending), Text-to-Speech (70 languages, AI voices), Select Translation (highlight any text). Three tone styles (Normal, Slang, Business) apply to Input Translation only. All of these work on every plan (Free included), running within the plan's AI-token quota with unlimited Google/Bing fallback. Token-based quotas with pass-through billing, 100+ languages via AI translation plus free Google and Bing engines, works inside the page with no copy-paste.

## Language learning & immersion

These features work on every plan, including Free — they run within the plan's AI-token quota (Free falls back to unlimited Google/Bing when the AI quota is spent). Pro/Team differ only by larger quotas plus a couple of extras: subtitle download/export and the writing-tools pencil (tone styles, resize text, etc.).

- **Bilingual subtitles** — original and translated subtitles shown together on video players: YouTube, Netflix, Coursera, Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV+. Built for learning a language by immersion (keep the source phrasing on screen instead of replacing it). On-screen dual subtitles work on every plan; downloading/exporting the subtitle file is Pro/Team.
- **AI word cards** — click any word in a subtitle or anywhere on a page for an instant card with its translation and definition, plus text-to-speech playback.
- **Personal dictionary** — save words and mark favorites; synced across devices, with a dictionary hub for review.

- Translate documents at https://swiftin.dev/translate-document — formats: PDF, DOCX, EPUB, TXT, Markdown, HTML, subtitle files (SRT/VTT/etc.), XLSX, and PPTX. Available on every plan: unlimited Google/Bing document translation plus AI-engine document translation within the plan's AI-token quota. Download reassembles the translated file.
- **Bilingual EPUB reader** — read e-books in a two-pane view with the original and translation side by side.
